How to write a eulogy? It begins with a few sincere words...

Learning how to write a eulogy can be a very complicated and stressful endeavor, especially during a time of short notice and high stress and sadness.   It seems we all must go through this at some time in our lives – and its not an easy task.

I’ve written several eulogies in my life, and if I could give you a tip: it would be to speak from the heart. Easier said than done, isn’t it?

Consider sitting down and outlining the characteristics that you knew about the person you are eulogizing about.  How did they affect you? Did they make you laugh and bring color to your life? Elaborate on these characteristics, and in time you will generate a fruitful list of things to work with. Use these to craft the framework of your funeral speech.

You will have a few days to do this, so work fast and efficiently. Please, I encourage you to not wait until the last minute to write your eulogy.

Using quality eulogy writing guides is another thing that I cannot suggest enough.  Its critical that you write your eulogy in a fashion that speaks well of the deceased without offending anyone or making yourself look bad. I don’t mean to say this to scare you – but I’ve seen people screw it up and its not a pleasant sight.  Do your research and you’ll end up crafting a memorable funeral speech that will be remembered forever.

Learning how to write a funeral speech is a difficult task, but with the right research its not difficult and can actually be a quite rewarding experience.  It also is, in many ways, a gift to the deceased’s family.. and the deceased themselves.

I wish you my very best on writing your funeral speech. It can be a stressful situation but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.  It can also be a true gift on honor to the person who was died and the loved ones they’ve left behind. Take care!
